About GDPR

On 25 May 2018, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force, putting far greater pressure on churches to manage, protect and dispose of citizens’ personal data in an appropriate manner.

The purpose of the regulation is to give citizens greater control over the use made of their personal data by third parties, as well as better knowledge about how and where it is stored, and what can and cannot be done with it.
